Introducing Smart Noodle Homechool Resources for Neurodivergent Kids

It’s not easy creating a first video and publishing it for everyone to see. Insecurities kept stopping me. After all, I don’t know how to film and edit videos. Sweetboy and I will be learning that process together as we go. You can see I’m not kidding when you watch the video and see the imperfections. But I left the rough edges and sound issues in the video. It’s like I’m often saying to Sweetboy, “Everything is hard at first. It’s ok to make mistakes.”

Like most people, I have my favorite YouTubers that I love to watch. Their videos are so polished and perfect. Sometimes I wonder, if I scroll back years to their first video, what would it look like? I’d like to believe they are flawed and rough in the beginning while they were finding their footing and fine-tuning their editing skills. I’d like to believe the growth is obvious.

That’s one good thing about homeschooling over outside schooling: I can see my son’s growth, firsthand. No need to rely on progress reports, conferences, or IEP benchmarks. Day by day, in both big and little ways, I can see the growth and celebrate it with him.
